Volunteer Opportunities:
1) Photographers
If you have an eye for Hip Hop photography which portrays it in similar brand fashion to that of Hiphop Legacy Magazine we want to hear from you. Each year we attend several festivals and concerts as well as major brand and fashion openings. If you’re looking to take on amazing opportunities with your photography, can manage your work from end to end, and would like to volunteer join a team who appreciates your creativity and progressive style we want to hear from you!
You will be required to:
- Attend major and community events.
- Manage your photos inclusive of editing and watermarking.
- Pursue exclusive photographic opportunities energetically.
2) Writers/Reviewers
Hiphop Legacy Magazine is always on the look out for new talent looking to make their presence felt in the Hip Hop space. If you possess a keen interest in Hip Hop, have a background of knowledge in the culture, we are eager to hear from you. Hiphop Legacy is scouting for feature volunteer writers that will be able to work in a timely manner with the Editor in Chief. You will be required to copy write, as well as create pieces for the online magazine and website.
You will be required to:
- Provide 1-2 writing samples
- Work in accordance with a deadline environment
- Must have creative writing skills including proof reading, sub editing and journalistic skills for interviews.
Marketing Assistant
We are on the hunt for a marketing savvy hip hopper who shares our vision to grow the scene and is looking to volunteer and further his or her marketing experience. Knowledge of the scene would be looked upon favourably. Must have:
- Digital marketing experience
- Experience working with creative teams for the generation of marketing collateral
- A willingness to learn.
