“So I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. The very first hobby I took up was drawing. When I was little I always dreamed of working for Disney as an Animator/Cartoonist. I studied art in high school and never got the flying marks because I just sucked at theory and wouldn’t pay attention to it. I’ve always been more of a hands on type of person. “
“I wouldn’t give a crap about why this person did this, and how they did that, and what it became. I just wanted to draw on everything I could get my hands on.”
“I went to TAFE to study a graphic design course that I never got to graduate because of a nasty case of glandular fever. Had to take months off TAFE, and missed numbers of heavy duty assignments that there was no way in hell I could finish in the time frame they gave me to catch up.”
“But the time off from TAFE led me to a different direction. Since I couldn’t do much when I had glandular fever – couldn’t sing, dance, let alone go outside and hang out with mates – you can guess what I did.”
“Stayed at home and sketched, and sketched and inked everything up in felt tip pen. I went through a crazy phase where I just drew little characters everyday, and worked on my craft until it was the way I wanted it to look like. Then I got bored of drawing on paper and decided to draw on the nearest thing that I could grab – and what better than to draw on a pair of jeans. At least I could make practical use of it later and wear ‘em.”
“So I just went nuts on that pair, and decided to show my girlfriend. She liked it so she decided to keep it. She wore them out one day and people started commenting the jeans asking who did the artwork on it. She mentioned what I did, and people started enquiring about how they could cop a pair and how much for.”
“That’s how my business started. It started out as a small hobby, and years later – turned out to be a serious business. Since I started the business, I’ve designed, customized, painted, ripped up and sowed, built up from scratch, at most nearly 1000 items.”
….and still going.
Mostly known for customized items, crew logos and murals.
Sneakpreview (I) can customize numerous things such caps, tees, hoodies, sneakers, bags, accessories, murals, musical instruments, walls, anything and everything I get my hands on to demolish(in a good way) with my art.
Although I am well known for the work I’ve done for other people – These days I am finally doing the work I’ve wanted to do for myself.
My direction is more focused on my very own experimental and original creations, and am also producing a lot more canvases (as painting/illustration is one of my favourite things to do). I also am massive on producing Outrageous accessories for both male and female.
Plenty more new, fresh items coming from the lab soon so please, please keep an eye out!
Please Feel free to add me on facebook below, check out my work and contact me for enquiries.
